I understand the challenges CEOs face. In 1984, I founded Stellcom, an engineering services company, and led it for 16 years, growing revenues to $50,000,000. After a Series B round of private equity, when I took some money off the table, I retired from Stellcom to become a Vistage Chair.
Since then, my focus is helping other CEOs navigate their challenges as they grow their companies. For these CEOs, they can count on me to listen without judgement and ask the tough questions. Leadership in today’s world is more complex than ever, and my passion to help leaders is stronger than ever.
My wife Kathy and I have two grown sons, and we split our time between La Jolla, CA and Durango, CO. I am committed to giving back to both these communities and making a positive impact through strategic giving and volunteering. After having completed 27 Ironman races around the world, I traded my race bike for a Harley Davidson Fatboy.

I know firsthand the hurdles founders encounter while building and scaling companies. In 2015, my wife and I co-founded Kindred Bravely, a maternity and breastfeeding apparel brand that grew from a single pair of pajamas to the #1 brand in its category, surpassing $60M in annual revenue. After selling a majority stake to private equity in 2021, I remain on the board, focused on supporting its continued growth.
My entrepreneurial journey started at 12, cleaning houses alongside my mom. Over the years, I’ve built and scaled multiple startups, earned an MBA in entrepreneurship from San Diego State University, and had the privilege of learning from world-class mentors in programs like Vistage, Strategic Coach, EOS, and YPO.
Today, I’m passionate about helping other founders and CEOs navigate the challenges of growth and scale. I live in Encinitas, CA, with my wife and two boys, where I spend my free time hiking, cycling, and training for marathons.
