Dr. Long is a computational biologist with extensive experience in bioinformatics and biomedical data science, particularly in the integration of genomics, metabolomics, microbiome, and clinical data. She is leading a team of scientists to develop and apply bioinformatics and machine-learning algorithms to analyze large population-scale genetics, metabolomics, and gut microbiome data, for biomarker discovery in the aspects of disease prevention, early diagnosis, patients stratification as well as novel therapeutics development for precision treatment.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and attended medical school at the University of Miami. Dr. Policaro’s residency in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine was at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
